Historic background of Sahiwal BISE in Nut Shull:
Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Sahiwal established in 2012 by Higher Education Department(HED) of Punjab. Before Sahiwal BISE, Pakpattan and Sahiwal were facilitated by BISE Multan and Okara was facilitated by Lahore BISE.
BISESahiwal is an autonomous institution with the power to make its own rules and regulations, procedures and policies, etc. BISE Sahiwal is not getting any funds from Government. It’s generating its own revenue through the levy of examinations and other fees.
Sahiwal Board of Intermediate and Secondary education functions are to ensure and smoothly conduct the SSC and HSSC examinations. Registered new students for exams and issue certificates to pass students. And providing information and data related to SSC/HSSC examination candidates to Government.
Why BISE Sahiwal was Established:
BISE Sahiwal was established in 2012.Before students were categorized to different boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education. Sahiwal is a separate division and 21st largest city of Pakistan by population .With passage of time importance of education is increasing and due to government efforts value of education introduced to people of Pakistan in order to put an effort in country growth.
It was noticed that the population in the Sahiwal division is increasing and every year statistics of number of students registered for SSC/HSSC exams increasing. Before Sahiwal Board Pakpattan and Sahiwal city students were registering under Multan BISE and Okara city students were facilitating through Lahore BISE. In order to avoid any discrepancies Punjab Government established the Sahiwal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. The main purpose was to facilitate students of Sahiwal division and other cities under this division through one platform.
