Energy Drinks Junk Food and Smartphones Banned in Private Schools in Punjab
Punjab School Education Department ( SED) has announced a ban on energy drinks, and junk foods in Private Schools canteens as well as the use of smartphones on the school premises.
All private schools in the Province must follow the instructions and disciplinary action will be taken in case of non-compliance with the orders. The Punjab Education department has devised monitoring teams also that will do surprise visits to private schools to check whether they are following the instructions or not.
This development comes after the school incidents in Lahore private schools. A female student is beaten by her class fellows while some of the others make a video of the incident.
After the video went viral on social media citizens of the country reacted and forced the management to take necessary action against the students who were involved.

Authorities booked four female students after the victim’s father complained and addressed them on social media. However, the attackers obtained a pre-arrest bail from the Lahore High Court (LHC).
While talking on a social media platform victim’s girl’s father stated that the management of the School hesitated to take action against those who were involved and asked him to withdraw his daughter from the school.
