Intelligence Bureau IB has Given Special Vetting Agency after the Approval of Prime Minister
According to the express news, Intelligence Bureau IB has also given the status of Special Vetting Agency for the Screening of Overseas Appointments. According to the notification, the Government has also given Special Vetting Agency status to IB.
The Government has given the status of Special Vetting Agency to IB after ISI. Earlier, ISI was given the Special Rating Agency for general appointments and postings of the Public Office Holders Officers. IB will be responsible for the Screening of the officers for overseas appointments and Promotions.
After the approval of the Prime Minister, a formal notification in this regard has been issued in the Establishment Division.
What is Vetting
The meaning of vetting is to examine and investigate someone, especially in order to make sure that person is capable, suitable, and trustworthy for a particular job.
IB will be responsible for screening the Officers who are appointing at overseas like Foreign officers, and Embassies in different countries.
