Government Announced New Closing Time for all Markets

According to the news, Sindh Government issued a notification regarding the closing time of all Markets. According to the notification, all markets will be closed at 9:00 p.m. throughout the Province in order to save energy in the current shortfall situations across the Country.

According to the notification Closure of markets will be applicable from today 17 June 2022. The government announced that the wedding hall will close all their events before 10:30 p.m. Whereas Restaurants will be open till 11 p.m.

Medical Stores, CNG Stations, and Petrol Pumps are excluded from this new timing.

A few days ago a meeting was held chaired by PM Shahbaz Sharif and attended by  Punjab, KPK, Balochistan Chief ministers, and KPK Chief Secretary. All members agreed on this matter that the closure of all markets early can save energy. Government Sindh implemented this decision from today 17 June onwards.

Experts say that if Markets will close earlier as compared to current timings. There is a positive effect on the going energy crisis.
