New School Timings in Punjab Due to Heatwave Official Notification

New School Timings in Punjab from 18 May 2024 Official Notification has been issued by Punjab School Education Department on 17th April 2024. The new summer timings for Punjab Schools will be followed till Summer Vacations 31st May 2024.

The summer vacations are also starting from 1st June as the heatwave is severe in Punjab. It is difficult to attend school in this hot weather. Rana Sikandar Hayat shared the status about heatwave and summer vacations in Punjab. Check Summer Vacations Notification 2024.

According to this notification, the Competent authority approved Summer Timings for all public & private schools in Punjab.

From 15 April after Eid ul Fitr Vacations School timings are 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Monday to Thursday & Saturday while On Friday School timings will be 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM. These timings are for Single Shift Schools.

There will be a difference of 15 Minutes in Boys & Girls schools. Girl’s Schools will start and close 15 minutes before Boy’s Schools. Therefore Girls School will start at 6:45 AM and close on 10:45 AM. For Classes of Prep & Pre Nursery, there will be a total of 3 hours which means their closing time is 10:00 AM.
