PBCC announces FSC New Books for Math, Bio, Computer, Chemistry, and Physics from 2024. These subjects will get new syllabus and content.

The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairpersons in its meeting held on 11 July 2023 the house unanimously resolved that Punjab Text Book Board should replace its books for intermediate as per international standards with five subjects (i) Mathematics, (ii) Biology, (iii) Chemistry. (N) Physics and (v) Computer Sciences to elevate the education standard of our candidates to let them cope with international learning practices.

Therefore. PCTB may b approached to initiate immediate work for (i) the adoption of particular international standard books, (ii) negotiations of copyrights/royalty a. (iii) initiate the printing process to make the books available for our students at the earliest possible.

It is pertinent to mention here that BISEs of Punjab had already adopted an international standard book of Biology for Intermediate students titled “An Inquiry into Biological Life” in 1972 vide letter No. 2933-SE/G dal. 21.1.72 which was printed by Punjab Text Book Board through its publishers. Therefore, the adoption of International standard books would be a revival of previous good practices.
