PPSC Provincial Management Service PMS Jobs – Combined Competitive Exam 2023

PPSC Provincial Management Service PMS Jobs – Combined Competitive Exam 2023 are announced in the daily newspaper. PPSC is hiring an Excise and Taxation Officer ( BPS – 17) and Officers in the Service and General Administration Department.

The total number of posts in S & GAD is 35 ( 24 on open merit and 11 on minority quota). The number of posts for Excise and Taxation Officer is 08.

Applicants possessing a bachelor’s degree and Punjab domicile can apply. Read the complete details for more requirements. The age limit is 21-30 years, however, the upper age limit is admissible in certain cases.

Desirous candidates can apply online through the PPSC job portal www.ppsc.gop.pk. Read all instructions on the website before applying. The written test will be held initially for all the posts. The examinations will be held at Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Bahawalpur, D.G. Khan, Faisalabad, and Sargodha.

The written test will consist of 6 Compulsory papers and 3 optional subjects. The total marks for compulsory subjects will be 600 and optional papers will contain 200 marks /each paper.

Optional Subjects

Candidates need to select three optional subjects from Seven groups. Only one subject can be selected from a group. The total marks for each subject will be 200. Check here for the complete group list and subjects.

Group A

Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, and Public Administration.

Group B

Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Botany, and Zoology.

Group C

Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Statistics, and the Principles of Engineering.

Group D

Physics, Chemistry, Geology, and Geography.

Group E

Political Science, History, Law and Mass Communication.

Group F

Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work.

Group G

English Literature, Urdu, Arabic, Education, Persian, and Punjabi.

Note: The minimum standard for the question papers will be graduate level. The syllabus for the optional subjects is available on the PPSC website.

Negative marking will be done and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in the Objective ( MCQs) paper on General Knowledge.
