Punjab Govt Announces a Raise in Minimum Wages to Rs 32000

During the ongoing political and financial scenario in Pakistan, everyone is suffering from inflation, especially the middle and lower classes. In order to help and provide financial assistance, Punjab Government announced raising the minimum wage from 25000 Rs to 32000 Rs.

On the direction of Punjab Prime Minister ( caretaker) Mohsin Naqvi, Punjab has issued a notification in regard to an increase in wages. The increment will come into effect immediately.

In the last year, the previous Government increased 30pc salary of the employees.

The government announced a 15pc disparity allowance along with 15pc additional salaries, which will be available to employees of certain government departments. The provincial cabinet also approved a 15pc hike in pensions against the proposed increase of 5pc.
