Punjab Govt Extended Winter Vacations for colleges till 9th January – Higher Education Department

Punjab Higher Education Department HED has announced extension in winter Vacations till 9th January 2023. Higher Education Department has issued official notification for winter Vacations extended.

Due to current weather situation in Pakistan cold is increased with fog and smog. Therefore, Punjab Govt has announced extension in winter Vacations which was announced till 1st January.

Now with effect of new notification all public and private colleges which are under Higher Education Department Punjab are closed till 8th January 2023.

All colleges will reopen on 9th January with the same routine and duty hours.

The notification says that In continuation of the Department’s Notification of even number dated 23-12-2022, it is hereby notified that in all the Higher Education Institutions (FIEDs) both Public and Private under jurisdiction of Higher Education Department Punjab Winter vacations are hereby extended w.e.f 02-01-2023 to 08-01-2023.

All Colleges (Public and Private) shall re-open on Monday, 9. January 2023 resuming a full / normal week for all classes.

All examinations shall be held as per the notified schedule of Boards and Universities.
