WAPDA State-of-the-Art Universities will Inagurates Soon in Islamabad and Lahore
The education sector plays an important role in the progress of any country. Pakistan’s education system still needs more reforms and facilities to meet international standards, Government always focusing on and bringing developments in this sector.
Water and Power Development Authority WAPDA is setting up new state-of-the-art universities in Islamabad, Lahore, and Faisalabad. WAPDA Chairman Engineer Engr Lt-Gen (r) Sajjad Ghani announced that WAPDA universities will start their operations soon.
He made this announcement during his official visit to the WAPDA Engineering Academy in Faisalabad.
The WAPDA management gave a briefing on the progress of the work of the projects. They brief the chairman about the progress, creating a charter, feasibility report, finances management, and the programs which will be taught in the University.
The University’s main campus will be in Islamabad, with sub-campuses in Lahore and Faisalabad. The University will introduce facilities for social sciences, management sciences, and Engineering generally in the beginning.
Chairman expressed that the main goal of the University is to start research work in various fields and focus on the fields which are essential and crucial for the country’s growth. The university will get recognition from Higher Education Commission.
