Bank Holiday on Monday 2 January 2023 – SBP

State bank of Pakistan SBP has declared a bank holiday on Monday 2 January 2023. In the official letter issued on SBP Website says that The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed for public dealing on Monday, January 2, 2023, which will be observed as a ‘Bank Holiday’.

All banks / DFIs / MFBs shall, therefore, remain closed for public dealing on the aforementioned date. However, employees of the banks / DFIs / MFBs will attend the office as usual.

All major and small banks like NBP, MCB, HBL, Askari Bank, Meezan Bank, ABL, and all other microfinance banks will remain closed on 2 January 2023.

Salaries of all government employees were issued on 30 December 2022 due to these 3 days of holidays from Saturday to Monday.
