Green Tractor Scheme Application Procedure and Eligibility Criteria

The Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz moto to bring prosperity in Punjab is admirable. The Punjab Cabinet has approved several important initiatives, including the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar, Chief Minister Green Tractor, and Children’s Heart Surgery programs.

Under the Green Tractor Scheme, farmers who own up to 50 acres of land will receive a subsidy of 1 million PKR per tractor. The application procedure to apply for Green Tractor Scheme is explained below.

Green Tractor Scheme Details

  • Total Tractors Approved: Under the Green Tractor Scheme, 9,500 tractors will be provided to farmers in Punjab.
  • Subsidy Amount: Each eligible applicant can receive a subsidy of 1 million PKR on the purchase of a tractor.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must own between 1 to 50 acres of land.
  • The applicant must not have previously acquired a tractor through any loan or subsidy program.
  • The applicant should not owe any loans to the Punjab government.
  • The model of the tractor must be specified at the time of application.

Application Process:

  • Applications must be submitted online through the official agriculture department portal.
  • A physical copy of the application should also be submitted to the relevant Deputy Director of Agriculture’s office.

Important Points to Remember

  • The scheme has been announced on September 15, 2024.
  • The application period will be 15 days.
  • Verification of applications will be completed by October 7, 2024.
  • A ballot draw will take place on October 8, 2024.
  • Successful applicants will receive their tractors within one month after making the required payment.

Additional Information:

  • The scheme does not consider the Kisan Card for eligibility.
  • The program aims to support farmers by providing modern agricultural machinery to enhance productivity.

This initiative is expected to help improve farming efficiency in Punjab by making tractors more accessible to small and medium-scale farmers through government subsidies.
