HEC Notified Students & Parents to Choose Approved Institutions for Higher Education

HEC issued an alert for Students and parents to be careful while choosing the institute for admission to Higher Education. Students are hereby informed that the Higher Education Commission has the power to issue conditions under which higher educational institutions throughout the country, including those not part of the state education system, may be opened and operated.

Therefore Higher education Commission HEC in the exercise of its powers certifies degrees from accredited institutions of the public and private sectors of Pakistan and their accredited campuses, including translation educational institutions providing foreign education in Pakistan.

HEC provided the list of approved Institutions including Universities, Public and Private Colleges / Institutes, and Foreign education providing institutes. Check below the complete list of approved Institutions across the country.

HEC will not approve/recognized the degrees obtained from such Universities / Institutes which are not recognized by Higher Education.

In the interest of public interest and initiation of admissions, students and their parents are cautioned to check their legal status through the above links before enrolling in a University, institution, or its campus and national education provider. Do your research well before admissions.

Additionally, the status of the affiliated college can be verified by the concerned Government University institutions and agencies.

Students are strictly advised not to take admitted to an institution that is not included in the list of approved University Institutions on the HEC website. In case a degree obtained from any non-accredited non-statutory institution/campus will not be accepted and recognized by HEC.

Students and parents are also cautioned not to apply for admission to a University and degree-granting institution that has restricted Admission entry due to various irregular activities. The list of such institutes is also available on the HEC website.
