Only 8-Month-Old Baby Passes 5 Class Exams in Sindh

Another mismanagement incident come to light in Sindh Education Department. According to the news, a school leaving certificate has been spotted with the wrong dates. According to the misdated data, a student name Mehboob Ali passes 5 class exams at the age of 8 months.

The student’s birthdate was mentioned as 20 February 2017 on the certificate. The date of enrollment in school was 10 October 2017. This implies that the child was accepted to the school only eight months after birth, demonstrating a lack of clarity in the school’s administrative processes.

It is not stopped here, after admission to school student passes the 5-class exam on 31 March 2018. This raises the concern about school education quality and administrative approach.

The school Headmaster, TEO and Deputy Director have come under fire for failing to spot the error on the certificate. They just blindly approve the certificates without noticing and checking the data. This shows how the staff is concerned about education and other activities.

Authorities should increase the monitoring and control process in the educational system to reduce such errors and be more focused on their job.
