Jail Wardens Recruitment in Punjab will start soon. The Punjab Cabinet Standing Committee on Legislative Business ( SCCLB) has approved lifting the ban on the recruitment of Jail Wardens across Punjab Prisons. Due to the ban on Jail Wardens recruitment, there is a shortage of staff in various Prisons in the Province.
Chairman of the Committee and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Raja Basharat approved the matter.
Raja Basharat directed the Inspector General of Prisons Punjab to prepare a summary of required posts for approvals. He also directed the IG to prepare undisputed religious courses for the minority prisoners and get the consent of Scholars of the respective religion.
Approving the recruitment summary Raja said that recruitment of educated people can improve the culture of Prisons. The educational qualification for jail warden would be matric but there should be room for more educated people for candidature.
The Committee approved some other matters also like reconstituting the charity’s commission under Punjab, and the appointment of five members of DG khan Development Authority.
the Cabinet Committee also approved the remission for those prisoners who took training coursed organized by TEVTA. The SCCLB also approved the establishment of session courts in Tehsil Darya khan of district Bhakkar and Tehsil Chowk Sarwar shaheed of District Muzaffargarh.

Note: Required Qualification for the Jobs should be Matric but higher qualification candidates also will be allowed to apply.
