Oxford University Announced Scholarships for Pakistani Students

Oxford University announced scholarships under Oxford Pakistan Programme ( OPP) for talented Pakistani students who are unable to afford graduate education at Oxford University. These scholarships will be offered to Pakistani students through Tareen Oxford Scholarships

The scholarships will be awarded on a merit basis and cover tuition fees and living costs for the entire program. Every year the scholarships will be awarded to three students. The Tareen Oxford Scholarship is made possible by the generous support of Ali Tareen.

Ali Tareen is the son of Mr. Jahangir Tareen a well-renowned politician. Ali Tareen is an alumnus of Kellogg College, Oxford. The scholarship is part of a five-year program, with funds being donated annually and disbursed on a rolling basis. The scholarship will be advertised by the OPP, Kellogg College, and the central University

South Punjab is an undeveloped area in Pakistan and most overseas scholarships are inaccessible to students from this region. The OPP partnership with Tareen to provide scholarship opportunities to South Punjab students also.

Every year around 25-30 students only get admission to foreign Universities. Some of these cannot afford the tuition fees as well.
