Punjab Govt announces Vehicles for Govt Employees of Punjab after Protest
Punjab Govt announces that they will grant official vehicles to govt employees of Punjab. In a notification, it is mentioned that 2933 million rupees are reserved for the purchase of new vehicles.
The finance department has issued a letter to the revenue department about approval of this fund to allocate vehicles to all officers. In this letter finance department says that I am directed to state that as per the approval by the competent authority / Chief Secretary, RA.2333.747 million has been allocated under object head A09301-purchase of transport in the budget for the CFY 2023.24 for pit/rime of vehicles.
Vehicles are for the offices of Additional Commissioners in each Division, Adthtiorud Deputy Commissioners (General) in each District, and Assistant Commissioner in each Tehsil of Punjab. While allocating the requisite budget. it was principally decided that the following officers will be allocated vehicles as mentioned against each.

| Normal Employees from Scale 1 to Scale 13 | No Vehicle |
On the other hand, Normal employees are crying for a 35% increase in salaries and a 17.5% increase in pensions but Govt of Punjab is silent on that matter.
