SBP announces a Bank Holiday on January 1 First Day of the New Year
The State Bank of Pakistan has announced that all banks and financial institutions will remain closed on the first day of the new year.
In the ongoing statement of the State Bank, it has been said that January 1, Monday will be a bank holiday, so the transaction facility will remain closed for the customers.
The statement further said that employees of financial institutions and banks will be present in the banks as per daily routine.
On the other hand, the Punjab Government announced the extension of winter holidays across the Province. All Schools and Colleges will remain closed until 9th January 2024 due to severe cold weather.
