Local Holiday Announced in Islamabad Capital Territory ICT on Monday 30 January 2023

According to the notification issued by the office of the Magistrate Islamabad Capital Territory ICT, 30th January Monday is declared as a local holiday within the revenue limit of Islamabad.

All Educational and other Institutions will remain closed on Monday 30 January 203, except the offices of essential services in Islamabad including MCI, CDA, ICT Administration, ICT Police, IESCO, SNGPL, and Hospitals. All Private and Public Schools and colleges in Islamabad will remain closed.

The public holiday in Islamabad has been announced due to the official visit of UAE president Shaikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan. PM Shehbaz Sharif met with his High Highness Shaikh Muhammad on 25 January in Rahim Yar Khan where he arrived on a private visit for hunting the birds Habtoors.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif invited the UAE President to Islamabad after his private visit. The President of the United Arab Emirates will arrive in Islamabad on Monday 30 January. On account of his arrival, all public and private schools, colleges, and offices in Islamabad territory will remain closed.

However Capital Development Authority, Municipal Corporation Islamabad, Islamabad Capital Police, Islamabad Electric Supply Power Company, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, and Hospitals will work as usual.

Earlier a wealthy UAE group Al Lootah Vice Chairman met with the Governor of Sindh Kamran Tessori and announced the establishment of a University as well as a power plant in Karachi.

Both Countries are in a strong bonding for decades. UAE and Pakistan have brotherly relations due to similar faith, religion, and other traditions.

It is worth remembering that At the start of this month, Pakistan New Army Chief Asim Munir also visited the KSA and UAE, and later on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also met with UAE President.
