Scholarships for Pakistan Students British Council Announces Doubles Scholarships

In a recent development, British Council doubles scholarships for Pakistan Students. Council announced to increase in the number of scholarships by 100 percent. These scholarships are offered under the Scotland Pakistani Scholarship program for young women and girls. The Scottish Government usually offers such scholarships through British Council.

Neil Gray, International Development Minister for the Scottish Government announced an additional amount of £500,000 in funds for the scholarships scheme.

Through this increase in funds, the number of scholarships will be increased which are available to girls belonging to flood-affected areas. These scholarships will help the girls and women to continue their studies which is affected by the flood in Pakistan last year.

The Scotland Pakistan scholarships scheme was launched back in 2013 with aim of providing financial assistance to underprivileged girls and women to continue their higher education and secondary education. The scheme funds graduate studies for Pakistani women in any HEC-recognized university across Pakistan.

The scholarship scheme also helps the girls at the secondary level (grades 8-12) to continue their studies which are sometimes affected due to financial issues.

The increase in the number of scholarships will definitely empower Pakistani women and girls to get their education and can play a vital role in the prosperity of the country.

To obtain any scholarships in foreign universities / Institutes students must be checked with HEC criteria and information about HEC scholarships for Pakistani students. Some Scholarships are fully funded and some are partially funded scholarships.
