Schools and Colleges in Islamabad May Remain Closed on Friday
According to the News, Schools and Colleges in Islamabad may remain closed on Friday 28 October 2022 due to the Long March of Pakistan Tehreek – Insaf. Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, is all set to start a long march from Lahore to Islamabad on Friday.
In view of the Law and Order Situation, the District Administration of Islamabad may decide to announce a holiday in Schools and Colleges. The final decision is yet expected to be announced later tonight.
Many schools and Universities in the city held half-day classes on Thursday since they expected gridlock because of the memorial service of the killed senior columnist, Arshad Sharif.
Last week, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) disqualified Imran Khan in the Toshakhana reference. Subsequently, PTI supporters took to the streets in the federal capital to register a strong protest against the decision.
The Federal Government has gone to severe lengths, including the arrangement of transportation holders at various places in the administrative capital, to prevent the long walk from entering Islamabad. As a result, private schools and colleges announced that they would observe a closure on Saturday due to the political unrest and prevailing law and order situation in the federal capital.
