Winter Vacations Announced in Non-Formal Schools Across the Province

Winter vacations in non-formal schools across Punjab will begin from the beginning of the new year, the Department of Literacy and Non-Formal Education announced on Thursday.

The notification issued by the department said that all the non-formal schools of the province will have winter vacation from January 1 to January 10.

Additionally, all non-formal institutions have been directed to follow the winter vacation notification and resume classes on January 11.

On the other hand, there are also reports of extending the vacations of all the educational institutions of Punjab after the written order of the Lahore High Court directing the provincial government to extend the winter vacations. However, the School Education Department has not yet issued any notification.

The reports on social media about the extension of winter vacations were given a boost by the teachers sharing a notification from the Department of Education. Despite the absence of official confirmation, the sharing of unconfirmed information has led to confusion about the winter holidays.

According to a department official, they will issue a notification after approval from the provincial government.
