Eid -ul-Fitar Holidays Announcement in UAE

Announcement of Eid holidays in UAE All You Need To Know

The UAE has officially declared Eid holidays nationwide. As per reports from Arab media, the holidays are set to span from the 29th of Ramadan to the 3rd of Shawwal. This translates to a potential holiday duration of 4 to 6 days based on the lunar calendar, with a higher likelihood of lasting 6 days.

Astronomers anticipate the commencement of fasting in the UAE to begin on March 12th, with a strong indication of Ramadan lasting for 30 days this year.

If this holds, the Eid holidays starting from the 29th of Ramadan could extend to 6 days, as the 3rd of Shawwal falls on a Saturday followed by the weekly off on Sunday. In the event of Ramadan lasting 29 days, the holiday period would span 4 days, although the probability of this occurrence is minimal.

The moon sighting for the beginning of Ramadan in the United Arab Emirates is scheduled for March 10th. This year, fasting hours are estimated to range from 13 hours 45 minutes to 14 hours 25 minutes.
