Holiday Announces For Schools Colleges and Universities in the Rawalpindi District. In an official announcement, Deputy Commissioner Office Rawalpindi has declared that tall educational institutions will remain closed on 7th September 2023 in the light of the upcoming Chehlum Procession.

The Office of the Deputy Commissioner issued the notification to maintain the security and order situation during the religious procession.  This closure encompasses both government and private universities, colleges, and schools.

Furthermore, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner has requested the Director of Information to ensure widespread dissemination of this information through electronic and print media. The Private Schools in Rawalpindi will also observe the holiday as it is notified to the Private School Association.

This precautionary step is taken to ensure the safety of faculty and students during the Chehlum Procession. The educational activities will resume on Friday, 8th September 2023.

A local holiday in the Lahore district has been announced on 7th September on account of Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh. All institutions under the Lahore district territory will remain closed.
