Rawalpindi Soon Will Get 85 New Private Schools
In District Education Authority ( DEA) meeting presided over by Chief Executive Officer ( CEO) Dr. Tariq Qazi, attended by the Chairman of All – Pakistan Private Schools Management Authority ( APSMA) and other authorities, DEA finally accepted the accreditation of 85 additional private schools in Rawalpindi.
This development occurred after a two-year delay. The DEA authorizes private schools to begin admitting new students. During the past two years, the renewal of over 30,000 existing schools and 186 new private schools was pending.
Next month, on March 1, another meeting will be held to authorize more private schools to start admissions. Furthermore, DAE will convene weekly meetings to deal with pending applications for private school registration and renewal.

Rawalpindi district has 3000 private schools, 2700 public schools, and 5000 unregistered schools. Private schools were barred to admit students in the past years, but now they are conditionally allowed to do so.
According to the Chairman of APSMA Mr. Akbar Ahmed khan, any unresolved issue would be settled during the weekly meeting of the DEA authorities.
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi ( BISERWP) and the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education ( FBISE) refused to affiliate such schools which are not registered by the District Education Authority ( DEA).
