You have two options to renew your passport, one is to visit the nearby Directorate General of Immigration and Passport office and apply for renewal of your passport by spending a whole day. The second option is to apply ONLINE which takes hardly 16 minutes to submit the application.

Steps to Renew Your Machine Readable Passport ( MRP)

Step: 01

The first step for online application is to register yourself on the e-portal. If you are already registered then click on the ” Login” button, otherwise for registration click on the ” Register” button. click here to start your journey for passport renewal.

Step: 02

Arrange all your relevant documents, scanned copies, Photographs, and valid credit/debit card for payment. Register yourself by providing relevant documents and then log in and start your application. Make sure that all your documents should be ready in soft copy.

Step: 03

Provide application details. The following information will be required to enter.

• CNIC detail
• Priority ( Normal / Urgent)
• Passport Type ( Ordinary / Official / Diplomatic)
• Passport number of pages ( select the number of pages for the passport i.e. 36/72/100 pages)
• Passport Validity ( select the validity of the passport you want to apply i.e. 5 / 10 years)
• Country of Residence ( where you are currently residing)
• Passport Office ( select the nearest passport office/applicants might be called for an interview as suggested by the authorities)

Step: 04

Provide your passport delivery details. The detail includes the city name, district name, postal code, and your present address. Fill in all relevant fields in the box. The passport will deliver to your present residential address. Make sure to provide correct information to avoid any delay or loss.

Step: 05

Pay your passport fee online through a Debit / Credit Card. Once you pay your fee you can proceed with further application steps. Check here for passport renewal fee details.

Please note that after payment you cannot edit your delivery address and initial information which you entered in step 3.

Step: 06

Provide your billing information/payment-related information.

Step: 07

Provide your credit card information. This information required the following details

• Card Type ( Visa / Master)
• Card Number
• Card Security Code
• Card Expiry Date

Make sure to enter all details correctly.

Step: 08

In this step, you will receive the payment status notification. If payment is approved it will show the notification as ” your payment has been processed” or in case of rejection it shows ” sorry your payment is not processed”.

Payment can be rejected in case of either wrong information on the card or due to other bank issues.

Step: 09

In this step provide your personal details which include the following

• Gender
• Marital Status
• Religion
• Profession

Fill in all the details which are asked in the box.

Step: 10

Provide your permanent address. The passport will deliver to your permanent address.

Step: 11

Provide your family and Spouse detail in this section. Enter and review the details then click on the “Next” button.

Step: 12

• Photographs / Supporting documents taken from digital cameras or mobile phones are also acceptable.
• Only jpg and png format is accepted.
• Documents size should not be more than 1MB.

Step: 14

Step: 15

review your provided application carefully before submission.

Step: 16

Click on submit button. A message will prompt with” Application Submitted Successfully”.
