Punjab Govt Announced Holidays in All Educational Institutions Due To Eye Disease Conjunctivitis
Breaking News, announced by a media channel, Punjab Govt announced holidays across the Province from Thursday to Sunday due to Conjunctivitis, an eye disease spreading widely in Punjab.
Considering the deteriorating situation of eye disease in Punjab, the Punjab Government has announced holidays from Thursday to Sunday in all public and private institutions of the Province.
The number of Pink Eye Infection patients increasing across Punjab. In order to avoid from worst situation. It should be remembered that Friday is the holiday of Eid-ul-Milad-ul-Nabi. To avoid cataracts, the Punjab Government has announced a holiday on Thursday and Saturday as well, thus all educational institutions will be closed from tomorrow to Sunday.
An official notification has been circulated from the School Education Department stating that ” in the wake of the spread of Conjunctivitis / Pink Eye Infection among school kids, competent authorities are pleased to announce that all public and private schools of the Province shall remain closed from Thursday 28-09-2023 till Sunday 01-10-2023.
All Schools shall reopen from Monday 02-10-2023 and shall observe the SOPs issued by this department to curb the spread of Conjunctivitis / Pink Eye Infection.
A notification copy is enclosed for all Chief Executive Officers ( DEAs) in Punjab.

The Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Naqvi took action and instructed the Education Department to announce Holidays from Thursday to Sunday to avoid this eye disease.
